Manuel Ray Catches “Wanbli Gleska Cante T’inza”, 37, of Calico, S.D., passed away March 12, 2014, in Rapid City.

Two night wake service: Starting at 3 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the Brother Rene Hall, Oglala.

Funeral services: 10 a.m., Monday, March 17, 2014, at the Brother Rene Hall, Oglala, with Reverend Robert Two Bulls officiating and traditional Lakota services led by Mr. Ivis Long Visitor.

Burial service: St. John’s Episcopal Cemetery, Oglala.

Survivors include father, Joseph Catches, Calico; mother, Mary Belt, Oglala; daughter, Sage Catches, Calico; brothers, Michael Catches Enemy, No Flesh, SD, Josef Catches, Pine Ridge, and Jefrey Catches, Calico; sisters, Lora Catches, Porcupine, and Lisa Steele,  Manderson; grandparents, Francis Two Bulls, Pine Ridge, Reverend Robert Two Bulls, Red Shirt Table, Frank Two Bulls and Julia Two Bulls, both of Oglala, and Ramona Colhoff, Rapid City.

Manuel was preceded in death by his son, Manuel Catches Jr.; and brothers, Steven Ray Catches, Edward Francis Catches, and Alden Tirado.
