Leonard Anthony Little Finger “Wakiyan Zinkala”, 77, of Oglala, S.D., passed away April 8, 2017, in Oglala.
Leonard Anthony Little Finger began his journey to the Spirit World on Saturday, April 8, 2017. Leonard passed away peacefully at his home in Oglala South Dakota, surrounded by family.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Teri Little Finger, Oglala; two sisters, Judi Cornelius, Albuquerque, NM and Rosemary Dillingham, Wounded Knee; two sons, John Little Finger and Tyler (Stevie) Little Finger, Oglala; two daughters, Jessie (Martin) Jones, Globe, Ariz. and Tobie Ann Little Finger, Oglala; three grandsons, Leeland Ten Fingers, Tyler Mackenzie Little Finger, and Michael Little Finger all of Oglala; granddaughters, Jaeza Montaocean, Oklahoma City, Okla. and Pearly Janis, Globe; Leonard is also survived by numerous beloved relatives.
Leonard is preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Pearl (Horn cloud) Little Finger; daughter, Lana Ten Fingers; and numerous beloved relatives.
A one night wake service will begin at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 14, at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, with Rosary services starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Hall.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 15, at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, with Sister Barb officiating and Mr. Richard Broken Nose performing the traditional Lakota service.
Burial services will be held at the Our Lady of the Sioux Catholic Cemetery in Oglala.
