Leo Bomber Lays Hard, Jr., 58, of Kyle, S.D., passed away April 6, 2017, in Thornton, Colo.
Leo Lee Lays Hard, Jr. was born on October 28, 1958, in Pine Ridge, to Leo Lays Hard, Sr. and Caroline (Small) White Feather. Leo made his journey to the Spirit World on April 6, 2017, at the Vibra Hospital of Denver in Thornton.
Leo is survived by his daughters, Tiara Lays Hard and Tasha Rooks both of Kyle, and Monica (Algin) Young, Rapid City; son, Benny Apple, Kyle; brothers, Thomas Lays Hard, Rapid City, and Rolland Lays Hard, Kyle; sisters, Connie Cut Shall and Judy Lays Hard both of Rapid City, Donna Janis and Marilyn Lays Hard both of Kyle, Kathie St. John, Rapid City, SD, and Jeanette Lays Hard, Kye; grandchildren, Ciara and Colten Mesteth both of Kyle, Tanner, Camden, Addison, and Algin, Jr. all of Rapid City, and Memphis Apple and Theresa Apple both of Kyle; and special friend, Joann Rooks, Kyle; special aunt, Rena Short Horn, Kyle.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Caroline (Small) White Feather; son, Clint Lee Lays Hard; aunt, Stella Janis; and uncles, Pershing and Noah Lays Hard.
A two night wake service will start at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 12, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 14, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, with Reverend Harold Eagle Bull and Reverend Cordelia Red Owl officiating. Lay readers will be Mona Vocu and Annie Montileaux.
Burial services will be held at the St. Barnabas Episcopal Cemetery in Kyle.
