Ashton Cole Standing Bear, 21, of Wanblee, S.D., passed away May 27, 2017, in Wanblee.
Ashton Cole Standing Bear was born on July 19, 1995 in Rapid City, to Denice Standing Bear and Larry Red Cloud. Ashton made his journey to the Spirit World on May 27, 2017 near Wanblee.
Ashton is survived by his; mother, Denice Marie Standing Bear, Wanblee, SD; step-father, Jon Siedschlaw, Wanblee; grandparents, Theresa (Jerome) High Horse, Wanblee; great-grandmother, Eleanor Charging Crow, Wanblee; nephew, Jace Standing Bear, Martin; sisters, Talisa Wilcox, Allen, and Tiaunna Wilcox, Wanblee; brother, Devon Red Cloud, Mont.; hunka family, Jamie and Jenn Big Crow, and Mack Big Crow, his godson, Braxton Big Crow; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended relatives (to many to name) that he loved and adored.
Ashton was preceded in death by his father, Larry Red Cloud; sister, Tawni Wilcox; brother, Matthew Standing Bear; nieces, Jaceya Cummings and Micah Cummings, and one unborn niece; grandfather, Stanley Standing Bear; and great-grandfather, James Charging Crow, Sr.
A two night wake service started at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 3, at the Crazy Horse School in Wanblee.
Funeral services began at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 5, at the Crazy Horse School in Wanblee, with Father Peter Klink, S.J., Sister Connie Schmidt, and Deacon Cal Clifford officiating.
Burial services were held at the Martin Community Cemetery in Martin.
