Randi Sue Woeppel, 64, of Bowman, N.D., passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Sanford Health Center in Bismarck.
There was a visitation for Randi on Wednesday, June 7, from 5-7 at the Krebsbach and Kulseth Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the Custer City Cemetery in Custer.
Randi Sue Woeppel was born on August 7, 1952 the daughter of Howard and Mary Lee (Waddel) Woeppel in Martin, SD. She was Howard and Mary Lee’s only child and given the nickname “peaches” on her arrival. Randi Sue graduated high school in Martin and then went on to college at Chadron State and Black Hills State with a degree in Music and a minor in Indian Studies. One of her greatest memories of college was her trip to England and Russia with the Black Hills State Band and Choir. She met Gary Parsons in Spearfish in 1980 and the romance began. She and Gary moved to Bowman, together where they owned and operated Gary’s Jack and Jill Grocery Store. Randi Sue also sang in the Church Choir, Community Choir and played the trumpet in the community band. She also played her trumpet for many weddings over the years. Randi Sue had a soft heart and couldn’t pass up a cute little face, thus having many cats as pets over the years. She was a people person and she could visit with you for only five minutes and know your life history, family and would never forget your face or your name. She will be deeply missed by all those she came to know.
Randi Sue is survived by her mother Mary Lee Woepple, her soul mate and best friend, Gary Parsons, and her small family of kitty cats. She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Woeppel.
