Jaceya Ashlin Wilcox-Cummings, 7, of Wanblee, S.D., passed away May 27, 2017, in Wanblee.
Jaceya Ashlin Cummings was born on February 23, 2010, in Rapid City, to Tawni Wilcox and William Cummings. Jaceya made her journey to the Spirit World on May 27, 2017 near Wanblee.
Jaceya is survived by her father, William (Sandra) Cummings, Martin; grandparents, Denice (Jon Siedschlaw) Standing Bear, Wanblee, and Calvin Wilcox, Martin; great-grandparents, Theresa (Jerome) High Horse, Wanblee; great-great-grandmother, Eleanor Charging Crow, Wanblee; brothers, William Cummings, Jr., Ironwood, Mich. and Rylan Cummings, Wanblee; sister, Tikka Cummings, Martin; aunts, Madonna Peterson, Martin, and Mary Frantz, Lakewood, Wash.; uncles, Charles Cummings, Sr., Newton III (Becky) Cummings, and Casey Cummings all of Martin, and Peter Cummings, Aberdeen; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jaceya was preceded in death by her mother, Tawni Wilcox; grandparents, Newton Cummings, Jr. and Erma Cummings; sister, Jaceya Cummings; uncle, Ashton Standing Bear; and great-uncle, Alvin David Wilcox.
A two night wake service started at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 3, at the Crazy Horse School in Wanblee.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 5, at the Crazy Horse School in Wanblee with Father Peter Klink, S.J., Sister Connie Schmidt, and Deacon Cal Clifford officiating.
Burial services were held at the Martin Community Cemetery in Martin.
