Bernard Nile Bourne, 76, of Rushville, Neb. passed way June 4, 2017, in Rushville.
Bernard “PeeWee” Nile Bourne was born to Joy J. Bourne and Marguerite (Lehman) Bourne on November 2, 1940. PeeWee passed away at his home on Larrabee Creek North of Rushville, on June 4, surrounded by his family.
PeeWee is survived by his wife, Patsy Bourne; children, Lynn (Jodi) Bourne, Sheridan, Wyo., Roxanna (James) Puchner, Chadron, Rickta (Jim) Brownlow, Rushville, and Patricia (Michael) Coleman, Fort Thompson, S.D.; brother, Bryan (Sharon) Bourne, Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandchildren, Quinn and Alliah Bourne, Michael Bourne, Rhett and Ryan Brownlow, Kyle and Jamasine Bourne, Tripp Coleman, Quent, Jr. and Joseph Bourne, and Kristina Logue; step-children, Ronda and Dan Hillberg and Valerie Reeves all of Placentia, Calif., Edwin and Tonya Reeves, and Wayne Reeves all of Rushville, Shelly and Dale Knapp, Alliance, as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
PeeWee was preceded in death by his parents, Joy J. and Marguerite Lehman-Bourne; his first wife, Dolores “Susie” Red Wing-Bourne; children, Quent Nile and Jamasine Lee Bourne; and great-granddaughter, Rylee Brownlow
A memorial has been established for St. Jude’s Children Hospital at Security First Bank in Rushville, Neb.
Visitation services were held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 8, at the Extension Church near Rushville, with evening services at 7:00 p.m. at the church.
Funeral services began at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Extension Church in Rushville, with Pastor Tim Stahl and Pastor William “Bill” Combs officiating.
Burial services were held at the Extension Church Cemetery in Rushville.
