Benjamin “Benji” Clement Yellow Boy, 46, of Box Elder, S.D., passed away July 6, 2017, in Aurora, Colo.
Benjamin “Benji” Clement Yellow Boy was born on February 21, 1971, in Pine Ridge, to James Hollow Horn, Sr. and Sylvia Winona Yellow Boy. Benjamin made his journey to the Spirit World on July 6, 2017 in Aurora.
Benjamin is survived by his father, James Hollow Horn, Sr., Wounded Knee; son, Gabriel Tran-Yellow Boy, Port Richey, Fla.; brother, John Ray Yellow Boy-Flying Hawk, Colo.; sisters, Ann Renee Yellow Boy, Broomfield, Colo., Raeann (Ed Ybarra) Yellow Boy, Commerce City, and Christa (Fabian Garcia) Yellow Boy, Rapid City; grandson, Grayson Tran-Yellow Boy, Port Richey; aunts, Flora Yellow Boy, Scottsbluff, Neb. and Pauline LaDeaux-Palmer, Pine Ridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Benjamin was preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia Winona Yellow Boy; step-father, Daniel Hernandez; grandparents, Joseph Yellow Boy, Lydia Brave, and Winona Yellow Boy; and cousin, Sharon Condon.
A two night wake service will start at 5:00 p.m., Friday, July 14, at the Wolf Creek School Gymnasium in Wolf Creek.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, July 16, at the Wolf Creek School Gymnasium in Wolf Creek, with Pastor Elton Yellow Boy officiating. Mr. Wade Broken Nose and Mr. Naca Charging Crow will perform the traditional Lakota services.
Burial services will be held at the Wolf Creek Community Cemetery in Wolf Creek.
