Alvin Keith Garnier, 49, of Denver, Colo., passed away August 28, 2017, in Denver.
Alvin Keith Garnier was born on December 23, 1967, in Pine Ridge, to Henry Baptiste Garnier, Jr. and Phyllis White Face-Garnier. Alvin made his journey to the Spirit World on August 28, 2017, in Denver.
Alvin is survived by his children, Angela American Horse, Wounded Knee, Jacob Garnier-American Horse, Rapid City, Armand American Horse, Sioux Falls, Elena Garnier, Denver, and Wambdi Garnier, Alamosa, Colo.; mother, Phyllis White Face-Garnier, Denver; siblings, Perry Yellow Hawk, Patrick Yellow Hawk, Tony Garnier, John Garnier, and Helen Garnier all of Denver.
Alvin was preceded in death by his father, Henry Garnier, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Rex White Face and Lena White Face-Sitting Bear; and aunt, Wanda White Face.
A one night wake service started at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 5, at the Elderly Meals Building in Porcupine.
Funeral services began at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 6, at the Elderly Meals Building in Porcupine, with Senior Catechist Ben Conquering Bear officiating.
Burial services were held at the St. Julia’s Episcopal Cemetery in Porcupine.
