Verine Ann Hunter, 52, of Kyle, S.D., passed away November 4, 2017, in Kyle.
Verine Ann Hunter was born on November 28, 1964, in Pine Ridge, to Dennis “Tubby” Palmier and Arlette (Hunter) Starbuck. Verine made her journey to the Spirit World on November 4, 2017 in Kyle.
Verine is survived by her children, Arlen (Sylvia) Hunter, Wounded Knee, Charles (Ellen) Kieffe, Kyle, and Tucker (Ian Reddy) Kieffe, Martin; hunka son, Frank Garnette, Kyle; significant other, Louie Whirlwind Horse, Kyle; brothers, Lance Hunter, Pine Ridge, William “Bill” Fish, Rapid City, and Roy “Buck” Martinez, Kyle; sisters, India Starbuck, Wagner; aunt, Penny Hunter-Downham, Kyle; cousins, Waylon “Jim” Hunter and Leonard Downham, both of Kyle, SD; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson; and the Hunter Family.
Verine was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis “Tubby” Palmier and Arlette (Hunter) Starbuck; brother, Scott Starbuck; hunka son, Michael Garnette; grandparents, Len and Elvira Hunter; aunt, Valerie Hunter; and uncle, Arlen John Hunter.
A one night wake service started at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 7, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle.
Funeral services began at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 8, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, with Father Ron Seminara officiating.
Burial services were held at the St. Stephen’s Catholic Cemetery in Kyle.
