Joseph “Joe” Will Her Many Horses, 37, of Oelrichs, S.D., passed away October 28, 2017, in Rapid City.
Joseph “Joe” Will Her Many Horses was born on April 22, 1980, in Pine Ridge, to Richard Ten Fingers, Jr. and Sheryl Her Many Horses. Joe passed away on October 28, 2017 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City.
Joe is survived by his wife, Jennifer; daughters, Baylie, Amelia, and Jackie; son, Joseph Wyatt; parents, Sheryl Her Many Horses and Richard Ten Fingers, Jr., Robin (Junce) Her Many Horses, Leonard (Sharon) Her Many Horses, and Clayton (Melanie) Ten Fingers; sisters, Sara Ten Fingers, Liane Her Many Horses, Maggie Her Many Horses-Two Crow (Aaron and Orion), Rebecca Ten Fingers (Jeremiah, Baby J, and Trenton Lee), Daisy (Nolan) Warrior, Jaimie (Willis) Her Many Horses, Julia (Erika) Her Many Horses, Paige (Baby Morgan) Her Many Horses, Hannah (Tre) Brewer, Mac “10” Ten Fingers, Caprice Ten Fingers, Chalene Ten Fingers, Alyssa (Regan), Jessie Jumping Eagle, and Shawna Rowland (Shawn); brothers, Oliver (OJ) Her Many Horses, Robert (Jewel) Her Many Horses, Andrew (Hannah) Her Many Horses, Wylie Brewer, Louis Her Many Horses, Clinton Ten Fingers, Clayton Apple, Clouden Ten Fingers, McCort Ten Fingers, Gage Warrior, Jr., and Leeland Ten Fingers; paternal grandmother, Florence Ten Fingers; maternal grandfather, Louis Her Many Horses, Sr.; aunts, Wanda, Keely, Sherry, Denise, and Dolores Ten Fingers; uncles, Dean, Bill, and Tony Ten Fingers, and Arpata McKay.
Joe was preceded in death by his brothers, Jordan Her Many Horses and Richard “Sparky” Ten Fingers III; uncles, Louis Jay Her Many Horses, Jr., Scott Ten Fingers, Wilmer Ten Fingers, and Leland Ten Fingers,; aunts, LuAnn Her Many Horses, Jackie Ten Fingers, and Lana Ten Fingers; grandmother, Violette Garnier; and grandfather, Richard Ten Fingers, Sr.
A one night wake service started at 3:00 p.m., Friday, November 3, at the Makasan Presbyterian Church Hall in Oglala.
Funeral services began at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 4, at the Makasan Presbyterian Church Hall in Oglala, with Sister Connie Schmidt and Mr. Donovan Youngman officiating.
Burial services were held at the St. Jude’s Cemetery, Drywood Community near Oglal.
