Chamblis Hope He Crow “Tehilapi Win”, 46, of Pine Ridge, S.D., passed away November 6, 2017, in Minneapolis, Minn.
Chamblis Hope He Crow was born on September 3, 1971, in Pine Ridge, to Abraham He Crow, Sr. and Louella Brown Eyes. Chamblis made her journey to the Spirit World on November 6, 2017, at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Chamblis is survived by her son, Wade Chase, Minneapolis; sisters, Lena (Will) Peters, Marlene Piper, Belva Thunder Hawk, Priscilla (Rich) Hill, and Jennifer (Wes) Cottier, all of Pine Ridge, and Sherilyn (Dominic) Yellow, Minneapolis; brothers, Phillip Piper and Michael Piper, both of Pine Ridge; and uncle, Scotty Brown Eyes, Slimbuttes.
Chamblis was preceded in death by her son, Caleb James Chase; parents, Abraham He Crow, Sr. and Louella Brown Eyes; maternal grandparents, Phillip and Lucy Brown Eyes; paternal grandparents, Moses and Eva He Crow; uncles, Joe Brown Eyes and Lawrence He Crow; aunts, Shirley Piper, Jeanette Caldwell, Norma Lone Elk, Vivian Red Shirt and Cecelia Broken Nose; brothers. Robert “Bob” Thunder Hawk, Alvin Charles Piper, Donavon Lee He Crow and Abe He Crow, Jr.; sister, Patty He Crow; and nieces, Kayla Lou Matthews, Kerry Lynn Peters and Victoria Raye Piper.
A one night wake service started at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 12, at the Gospel Fellowship Church in Pine Ridge.
Funeral services began at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 13, at the Gospel Fellowship Church in Pine Ridge, with Mr. Don Belile officiating.
Burial services were held at the Brown Eyes Family Cemetery in Slimbuttes.
