Stuart Anthony Brings Plenty, 64, of Sioux Falls, S.D., passed away November 9, 2017, in Sioux Falls.
Stuart Anthony Brings Plenty was born on June 17, 1953, in Porcupine, to Leo G. Brings Plenty and Vera (Badger) Brings Plenty. Stuart made his journey to the Spirit World on November 9, 2017, at the Sanford Health Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Stuart is survived by his daughter, Sophie Jaelin Eben, Sioux Falls; brothers, Floyd Brings Plenty, Oglala, Blaine “Whiskey” Brings Plenty, Sioux Falls, and Dave and Cameron Red Star, both of Minn.; special cousin/brother, Warren “Chep” Tuttle, Sioux Falls; sisters, Karen Red Star, Weleine Red Star and Shirley Red Star; and uncles, David Brings Plenty, Pine Ridge, and Enoch and Leonard Brings Plenty, both of Porcupine.
Stuart was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Vera Brings Plenty; maternal grandparents, Dave and Mary Badger; paternal grandparents, Phillip and Mary Brings Plenty; brothers, Owen, Millard “Smokey”, Donovan, Joseph, Fred, and Millard Brings Plenty, and Cameron “Hippie” Red Star; sisters, Marie, Yvonne and Ollie Brings Plenty; uncles, Vincent and Joseph Brings Plenty; and aunts, Evelyn Badger-Big Owl, Rebecca Badger-Brewer, Myrtle Badger, Mildred Badger-Cottier, Rachel Bertha “Bud” Badger, Madeline Badger, Sophie Badger-Young Bear and Ollie Brings Plenty.
A one night wake service started at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 15, at the Parish Hall in Porcupine, with rosary services at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services began at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 16, at the Parish Hall in Porcupine, with Father Edmund Yainao officiating.
Burial services were held at the St. Alban’s Cemetery in Porcupine.
