Eli Jason Feather Earring, 45, of Black Hawk, S.D., passed away November 29, 2017, in Rapid City.
Eli Jason Feather Earring was born on October 15, 1972, in Pine Ridge, to Edgar Ghost Bear and Linda Feather Earring. Eli made his journey to the Spirit World on November 29, 2017, at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City.
Eli is survived by his wife, Rolene (Morrison) Feather Earring, Black Hawk; children, Dante, Destiny, Elijah, Elissya, Elias, Jason, Kevin, and Shaniah Feather Earring, Sundance Tail, Jeff and Elizabeth New Holy, and Damon and Danielle Morrison; five grandchildren; brothers, Justin White Bull, Wakpamni, and Calvin and Donny Ghost Bear, both of Pine Ridge; sister, Theresa White Bull, Glencoe, Minn.; uncles, Dwight Black Crow, Batesland, Eugene Black Crow, Wakpamni, Waylon Black Crow, Dunseith, N.D. and Rick Gray Grass, Wakpamni; aunts, Betty Black Crow, Gordon, Neb. and Mary Lou Black Crow, Wakpamni; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Eli was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Ghost Bear and Linda Feather Earring; grandmother, Theresa Feather Earring; aunts, Marilyn Tail, Dorothy Black Crow, Kathy Short Bear and Tracey Buckley; and uncles, Ken Short Bear and Tony Black Crow.
A one night wake service started at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 1, at the William “Bill’ Conquering Bear Gymnasium in Batesland.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 2, at the William “Bill’ Conquering Bear Gymnasium in Batesland, with Reverend Rhoda Mesteth officiating and Mr. Lonnie Little Hoop performed the traditional Lakota service.
Burial services were held at the St. Andrew’s Cemetery in Wakpamni.
