Christen Blair Pourier “Kimímila Ská Wiŋ”, 13, of Porcupine, S.D., passed away December 24, 2017, in Porcupine.
Christen Blair Pourier was born on July 2, 2004, in Pine Ridge, to Thomas, Jr. and Paula (Whirlwind Horse) Pourier. Christen passed away on December 24, 2017, at her home near Porcupine.
Christen is survived by her parents, Thomas, Jr. and Paula Pourier both of Porcupine; brothers, Lane (Kyleigh Tara Blacksmith) Jon Pourier and Jesse James Dean Pourier both of Porcupine; sister, Ashley Ray Pourier, Porcupine; grandparents, Thelma Pourier and Georgia Pourier both of Porcupine, Constance Whirlwind Horse and Norma Ceron both of Kyle; and Annette Matt, Rapid City; great-grandfather, Wilbur Witt, Kyle; nephews, Blake Liddell Pourier, Logan Black Pourier, and Sawyer Jon Blacksmith; nieces, Rozela Mya Kills Small and Rizzo Jane Grass Rope; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Christen was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Thomas Leo Pourier, Sr., Sidney Pourier, Teddy Paul Pourier, and Louis Whirlwind Horse, Jr.; grandmother, June Bull Bear-Rosales; and cousins, Drew LeBeau, Wesley Pourier, Troylin Pourier, Wilma Ann Whirlwind Horse, Robert Whirlwind Horse, Waylon Brave Heart and many more.
A one night wake service started at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 29, at Our Lady of Lourdes Gymnasium in Porcupine.
Funeral services began at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 30, at Our Lady of Lourdes Gymnasium in Porcupine, with Father Edmund Yainao, S.J., Father Klink, S.J., and Mr. Bill White officiating.
Burial services were held at the Christ the King Catholic Cemetery, Porcupine.
