Cleo Faye Garneaux, 75, of Hot Springs, S.D., passed away January 17, 2018, in Box Elder.
Cleo Faye Garneaux was born on January 30, 1942, at home in Oglala, to Henry and Edith (Rouillard) Richards. Cleo passed away on January 17, 2018, surrounded by her loving family in Box Elder.
Cleo is survived by her children, Donna Richards, Hot Springs, Tillie Hawk, Rapid City, Joy (Josef) Marks and Daniel Garneaux both of Chesapeake, VA; Byron Bordeaux, Porcupine, Beverly Bordeaux and Brenda Bordeaux both of Kearney, Neb., Abraham Bordeaux, Scottsbluff, Cynthia Bordeaux, Scottsbluff, James Shot With Two Arrows, Rosebud, and Timothy Shot With Two Arrows, Colo.; siblings, Clarence Richards, Hot Springs, Myrtie Black Bear, Rapid City, and Beau and Elizabeth Garneaux; 20 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.
Cleo was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Edith Richards; spouse, Edward Garneaux; children, Beverly Hawk, Lee Garneaux, and Edward Garneaux; and sibling, Leah Rae Richards
A one night wake service started at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 22, at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, with Catholic Mass at 7:00 p.m., Sunday evening.
Funeral services began at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 23, at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, with Father Joe Daoust, S.J. and Sister Barb Bogenschutz officiating.
Cremation will follow services.
