Invitation for Bids
The Oglala Sioux Tribe Water Maintenance & Conservation Program will accept bids from qualified contractors for the construction of the Oglala North, Manderson, and Sharps Comer Community Water Upgrades on the Pine Ridge Reservation, Oglala Lakota County, South Dakota. The scope of work includes furnishing all labor, equipment and materials to construct water mains, water service lines, and all appurtenances; to install gate valves, fire hydrants and to renovate two existing water storage tanks on the Pine Ridge Reservation, SD. The total contract price will not be increased without prior authorization from the Owner via the change order process.
A bid package may be obtained from the Oglala Sioux Tribe Water Maintenance & Conservation Program, Attention: Charles Jacobs, Program Director, P.O. Box 386, 17659 US Highway 18, Pine Ridge, South Dakota 57770, Telephone (605) 867-1999. A nonrefundable fee of $20 will be charged for each bid package or an emailed pdf will be made available upon request at no charge by contacting Charles Jacobs at email@example.com or James Begeman at firstname.lastname@example.org.
A copy of a valid Contractor’s license for the State of South Dakota or Certification of Renewal thereof issued and registration of Indian owned firm from TERO shall be supplied at the time of bidding and enclosed in the required Bidder’s Bond envelope.
In the evaluation of the bids, the Owner may within funding limitations, give preference up to the amount of five percent (5%) above the lowest total bid, to qualified Indian owned firms. The qualified Indian owned firms must register with the local TERO Office prior to the bid opening.
Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. M.D.T., November 15, 2018, at which time a public bid opening will be held at the Oglala Sioux Tribe Water Maintenance & Conservation Office which is located approximately one (1) mile east of the community of Pine Ridge and adjacent to and west of the OST Water & Sewer Program.
