The Bennett County Board of Commissioners met in Special Session on Friday, May 10, 2019 in the Commissioners meeting room.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Wayne Bond at 3:00 p.m.
Commissioners present: Wayne Bond, Rolf Kraft, Jeff Slattery, Judd Schomp and Rod Kirk.
Others present: Auditor Susan Williams; Taylor Risse, BC Booster; Terry Smokov, Highway Superintendent; Jolene Donovan, Treasurer.
Inlaw Construction Quote
The Board considered a quote from Inlaw Construction for repair to culvert and road damage done south of Vetal. There was discussion with Terry Smokov, Highway Superintendent, about the damage and repair work needed. Jeff Slattery made a motion to accept the quote from Inlaw Construction for the Project south of Vetal for $24,395.00 as an emergency due to road damage caused by Winter Storm Ulmer. Rod Kirk seconded.
All voted aye. Motion Carried.
FEMA Damage Assessment Tour
Rolf Kraft requested the Board discuss changing the Wednesday, May 15, 2019 meeting to Thursday, May 16, 2019 because FEMA has scheduled a damage assessment tour for May 15, 2019. The Board agreed to meet for their regular meeting Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.
Highway Department
Jeff Slattery reported David Bakley will continue to volunteer to drive the road grader in the Tuthill area.
Highway Superintendent, Terry Smokov, requested an emergency executive session.
Rolf Kraft made a motion to go into an emergency executive session concerning personnel with Terry Smokov at 3:10 p.m. Judd Schomp seconded.
All voted aye. Motion Carried.
Chairman Wayne Bond declared executive session closed at 3:35 p.m.

There being no further business to come before the Board Rolf Kraft made a motion to adjourn with a second by Rod Kirk.
All voted aye. Motion Carried.
