Election Results - Harris, Long top States Attorney candidates

In the only Bennett County election race, Sarah Harris garmered 182 votes to 62 for Ken Orrock in the Republican race for Bennett County States Attorney. Orrock is the current States Attorney. Britt Long topped Shiloh MacNally, 92-69, on the Democratic ticket for Bennett County States Attorney. Harris and Long will square off in the General Election November 8.

For the President of the United States, Bernie Sanders had 95 votes to Hillary Clinton's 74 for the Democratic ticket in Bennett County. Donald Trump, 179 votes, soundly defeated Ted Cruz, 30 votes and John Kasich 29 for the Republic side of the race.

 

There was a 21% voter turnout for the Primary Election, a little low, but not bad for small ballot. Republicans got out and voted more than the Democrats at a 2 to 1 ratio.
