The Martin Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Candidates Forum, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m., at the Martin Grade School Activity Center.
Candidates in the General Election on Nov. 6 for the offices of Bennett County Commissioner, Bennett County Sheriff and Bennett County Register of Deeds are invited to attend and take part.
Each candidate will have the opportunity to inform the public about themselves, what their ideas are and answer a few questions for the audience.
The Chamber will take questions from the public for consideration at the Forum but the questions may only address issues and not be personal attacks. The chamber will pull two questions from all submitted questions for each office and they will be asked of each candidate.
This is not a debate and personal verbal attacks from the audience will not be tolerated.
The public is encouraged to attend and learn more about who they are voting for. There will be a coffee and cookies social following where you can visit with the candidates one on one if you choose.
A question form will appear in the Bennett County Booster for the next three weeks and can be dropped off at the Booster prior to the Forum.
For more information, contact Chamber President Matt Kratovil or Tim Huether.
