School enrollment up 70 students

By Tim Huether

Bennett County School enrollment numbers are up 70 students from last year according to Superintendent Stacy Halverson at the Sept. 16 regular board meeting.

The school’s live streaming site,, that allows you to watch games and events from your computer, has been a hit with the website having over 5000 views, according to Superintendent Stacy Halverson.

Halverson said the feature was going over well. To view an event, simply go to and go to the area, such as football to view the football game for that night and click on the arrow. You can also view past games if you missed it live.

Halverson also reported to the board that the Martin Grade School third wing repair is looking nice with the final coats going on now.

She said there are still staff openings for a Certified/Classified High School Special Education Para, a Martin Grade School Special Education Para and an assistant boy’s basketball coach for this school year.

The school’s website and APP are up and running fully and they are working on getting the Facebook page up and going. The Facebook page will be an informational thing and not for commenting on.
