Bennett County hosts cross country meet and takes three first place titles

On Thursday, September 12, Bennett County hosted a cross country meet with 101 runners from nine different teams competing.

Bennett County took first place titles in three of the six divisions with Brendan Poor Bear winning jv boys, Tyce Gropper winning junior high boys and Tatyum Banks winning junior high girls. Bennett County also had eight boys place in the meet and all six girls placed.

Jones County won the girls division and Little Wound won the boys.

Girls varsity had 16 runners and ran a 5K.

Girls JV had 13 runners and ran a 4K.

Eden Fanning 26:29 8th

Christina Plenty Wounds 27:22 9th

Ayoluwa Kennedy 28:59 10th

Girls junior high had one runner and ran a 3K.

Tatyum Banks 15:35 1st

Outstanding female runner was Iaesha Belhage.

Boys varsity had 40 runners and ran a 5K.

Boys JV had 22 runners and ran a 4K.

Boys junior high had 13 runners and ran a 3K.
