Sue Sell was named the 2019 Friend of 4-H at the Recognition Banquet held last Friday evening. The Friend of 4-H Award is presented to a person in the community that has helped at 4-H activities and is nominated by 4-H Clubs and voted on by the Leaders.
The following was read as Sue was presented her plaque:
Sue has been a 4-H member, has helped at the 4-H Rodeo, 4-H Horseshow including practices, horse judgings, horse safety clinics, has been a judge and has helped in just about every area at the fair. She always takes the time to help the younger 4-H’ers if they ask and is there to offer help to adults as well.
She is truly dedicated to helping the 4-H youth complete tasks of any kind. She shows her caring side to others by encouraging everyone to compete and do the best they can and to never give up. All these qualities are proof of her “tall” leadership skills.
Like dynamite, no job is too big or too small for her as she puts her all into completing everything she does to the best of her ability. She puts in long hours when help is needed, never complains and always has a smile on her face. When she isn’t smiling you better look out, because there is probably a squirt gun or a joke on the way. She gives 100 percent, 100 percent of the time and sometimes her body parts just don’t hold up to her try.
So to keep this short, sweet and to the point just like you Sue Sell, this year’s Friend of 4-H.
