BCHS FFA members attend District V event

On November 15 the Bennett County FFA traveled to Wall for the District V Leadership Development Events. Students competed in unique individual and team events that strengthen their soft skills and encourage thorough communication and understanding of current agricultural issues.

Gabe Fanning placed first with his speech “Make America COOL Again.” The Marketing Plan team, consisting of Gabe Fanning, Chloe Risse, and Hunter Laverack, received second place with their marketing presentation on a local outfitting business.

Both Gabe and the Marketing Plan team will be competing at the State FFA Leadership Event in Pierre on December 8 and 9.

Other students who competed at the District V event were Laney Fanning in Employability Skills, Megan Begeman in Ag Broadcasting, and an Ag Sales team of Trey Tetrault, Frank Huber, Ridge Ward, and Timm Fanning.

Also attending and serving as event timers were Hadley Schomp, Piper Goss, and Alison Novotny. All students worked hard to prepare for these events and represented Bennett County very well. Good luck to our members who will be competing at State LDEs!
