Beautiful weather forecast for Martin's annual Holiday Happenings

Daytime weekend temperatures are forecast to be in the upper 40’s. Nighttime temps in the low 20’s, so the weather will be perfect for Martin’s annual Holiday Happenings this upcoming weekend.

On Friday, kick off the weekend by taking time to stop by the Bennett County Courthouse during normal business hours and check out the Festival of Trees. Lining the hallways are several trees in various shapes, sizes and colors displaying a variety of creative ornaments.

The Craft Fair at the American Legion Auditorium from 10 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Saturday promises to be a must-do event. “We have 30 vendors signed up this year. Many of them different from last year along with several new ones,” said Judy Kratovil. Plan to stop by. Browse, support these vendors, get an early start on your Christmas shopping and enjoy some goodies from the concession stand.

A free community meal will be served on Saturday starting at 4:00 p.m. (until gone). Curb side only, in front of the Martin Grade School Activity Center.

Santa won’t be greeting children at the Craft Fair this year but he will be riding on his very own, special float at the Parade of Lights. Be sure to wave and wish him Merry Christmas. The parade starts at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, along Main Street.

To top off the weekend, on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Legion Auditorium, Orion and Stacey Potter and Cast will be performing “A Very Potter Christmas.” Something for everyone, old and young!
