Commissioners approve cannabis license

At the regular business meeting of the Bennett County Commissioners held Wednesday, June 7, the commissioners approved a medical cannabis license application for Jon D. Gregg, operating as Frost Factory LLC.

Frost Factory LLC is operated by Beau Gregg, Jon Gregg, and Tyler Nollett.

In September of 2021, the county passed an ordinance 1-2021 regulating cannabis establishments.

Frost Factory LLC will be operating as a cannabis cultivation facility if approved by the State of South Dakota. Part of that approval process is securing licensing from Bennett County.

The ordinance defines a cannabis cultivation facility as a legally licensed entity that acquires, possesses, cultivates, delivers, transfers, transports, supplies, or sells cannabis and related supplies to a cannabis establishment........
