Bennett County Fair Updates and Changes

The Bennett County Fair is right around the corner and Mary Kay Sell from the Extension office wants to provide some updates.

The deadline for entry for the 4H Fair Exhibits is July 28. Entries are made through the website www.fairentry.com. The specific address for the Bennett County Fair is https://www.fairentry.com/Fair/SignIn/18876.

There is a change this year on day of entry check in time. In the past it has been in the morning. This year the day of entry check in is at noon through 2 p.m.

Open and 4H Static exhibits must be at the fair building at 12 p.m. on Wednesday August 9.

Added events for this year are the Business person showmanship that will immediately follow the livestock show on Friday and a Leggo Contest from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Leggo Contest is open to ages 5 through 18 and is a new event.

The deadline to sign up for a booth at the Fair is August 1. Booths must be set up by noon on August 9. There is no fee for a booth and the booth is for promotional use only.

Fair books are available in the SDSU Extension office in the Bennett County Courthouse. There are fair books for open class and 4H and other forms available.

The Bennett County Fair is open to all and all are encouraged to attend. The fair opens for viewing at 2:30 p.m. on August 9 and will conclude Sunday evening, August 13.
