White-tailed deer population takes 50 percent hit in Bennett County

According to South Dakota Game Fish and Parks Conservation Officer Tom Beck of Martin, approximately 50 percent of the White-tailed Deer population in Bennett County has died off this fall from Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD).

BCHS Athletic Wall of Honor inducts 7

There were seven new members inducted into the Bennett County High School Athletic Wall of Honor Saturday night, Sept. 22, in Martin, joining last year's first class of 13 members. City audit “in really good shape”

County Commissioners nix deputy

PIERRE, S.D. – Parents of pre-teens and college freshmen should check their kids’ immunizations before the school year starts, says a state health official.
