Full Military Honors for Mr. Lynn were held graveside at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 17, 2012 at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Bossier City, La.
He was born December 2, 1928 in Martin, S.D. to William and Wilhelmina Lynn. He began his Military Air Force career September 26, 1950, retiring as a SMSgt, after 24 years of service. He proudly served in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He loved gardening, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a life member of VFW post 5951, and considered them his extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 37 years Mrs. Billie Jean Carpenter Lynn.
Mr. Lynn is survived by his three children, David A. Lynn, Laura A. McCullough, and Pamela K. Smith and husband Lee; sister, Mrs. Irene Bolton, Sioux City, Iowa; grandchildren, Eric L. Lynn, Dr. Stephen A. McCullough, April Lynn Lewis, Johnathon C. Thurmon, Alexandra C. McCullough, and three bonus grandchildren, Catherine Smith, Landon Smith and Steven Lewis as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
