Helen Hope Lays Bad, 44, of Porcupine, S.D., passed away September 16, 2012, at Wheat Ridge, Colo.

Survivors include her sons, Jordan Lays Bad, Pine Ridge, and Lyle Bear, Denver, Colo; daughters, Jamie Cedar Face and Lana Cedar Face, both of Porcupine, and Marissa and Felicia Lays Bad, both of Denver; brother, Duane Lays Bad, Idaho; sister, Norma Bianas, Chandler, Ariz., grandmother, Geneva Richards, Porcupine; and three grandchildren.

A one night wake service was held Thursday, September 20, at the Native American Church in Porcupine. Funeral services were held Friday, September 21, also at the Church, with Reverend Emerson Spider Jr. officiating.

Burial was at the Native American Church Cemetery, Porcupine.
