Wesley Duane Pourier, 32, of Omaha, Neb. passed away July 14, 2017, in Omaha.
Wesley Duane Pourier was born on February 27, 1985, in Gordon, to Tammy Crow and Justin Pourier. Wesley made his journey to the Spirit World on July 14, 2017 in Omaha.
Wesley is survived by his mother, Tammy (Brian Starr) Crow, Pine Ridge; father, Justin (Marla) Pourier, Wounded Knee, S.D.; special friend, Travis Weyant, Omaha; grandmother, Yvonne Crow, Oglala; brothers, Morgan Starr, San Diego, Calif., Marco Starr, Pine Ridge, Jeffery Pourier and Te’Ariki’Nui Pourier both of Wounded Knee; sisters, Kayla Starr, Rapid City, Joaquina Pourier and Justina Pourier both of Wounded Knee; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Wesley was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harold Crow and Vicki Bianas; paternal grandparents, James “Bub” and Jeanne Marie (Ryan) Pourier; and uncle, Jeffrey Pourier.
A one night wake service started at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 20, at the Rockyford School Gym with Rosary services at 7:00 p.m. at the gym.
Funeral services began at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 21, at the Rockyford School Gym with Father Christopher Johnson, S.J., Father Joe Daoust, S.J. and Ms. Joyce Tibbitts officiating. Mr. Jerome LeBeau performed the traditional Lakota service.
Burial services were held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery in Porcupine.
