Harry Michael Lee Burk, 92, of Hermonsa, S.D., passed away March 20, 2018, in Hermosa.
He was a veteran of the US Marines Corps.
Harry Michael Lee Burk “Anukansun Hokshila” Northern Arapaho, AKA Billy Jack, age 92, made his journey to the Spirit World on March 20, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Lynch Burk and Harry Lee Burk, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Lula Red Cloud; sister, Ann Marks; hunka brothers, Dennis White Shield, Les Ducheneaux, Don (Susan) Garner, and Jim (Jan) Gramm; children, Stanley (Rolinda) Holder, Sr., Cindy (Gene) Giago, Gemma Lockhart, Jeff Iron Cloud, and Linda Two Bulls; 28 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
A two night wake service began an 3:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25, at the Burk Residence, with services held each night.
Funeral services, began at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 26, at the Burk Residence, with services provided by the Medicine Horse Sundance Leaders under the direction of Rick Two Dogs.
On Tuesday, March 27, Harry made his final journey at Crazy Horse Memorial in Custer..
Military Honors were provided by the Tokala Society Members (Warriors), military veterans.
