Norman Dale Red Star, 62, of Wounded Knee, S.D., passed away March 24, 2018, in Albuquerque, N.M.
He was a veteran of the US Army.
Norman Dale Red Star was born on September 4, 1955, in Pine Ridge, to Wilbur Means and Lillian Red Star. Norman made his journey to the Spirit World on March 24, 2018, in Albuquerque.
Norman is survived by his mother, Lillian Red Star of Wounded Knee; and siblings, Gloria Wounded Foot, Anthony Boltz, Karen Boltz and Cindy Boltz, all of Wounded Knee, Marvin Boltz, Colo., Meredith Boltz, Rapid City, and Brian Sitting Eagle, Omaha, Neb.
Norman was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Means; and grandparents, Paul Red Star, Sr., Vina Eva Blunt Horn and Edward Means.
A one night wake service started at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 6, at the Messiah Episcopal Church in Wounded Knee.
Funeral services began at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 7, at the Messiah Episcopal Church in Wounded Knee, with Reverend Harold Eagle Bull officiating.
Burial services were held at Red Star Homestead, Wounded Knee.
