Narcis “Tex” Levi Ten Fingers, 79, of Slim Buttes, passed away September 22, 2012, in Slim Buttes. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include his son, Darrel Ten Fingers of Belen, N.M.; daughters, Evelyn, Lucy, Mary, Frieda and Rose Ten Fingers, all of Slim Buttes, Beverly Ten Fingers-Najar, Greenfield, Calif., and Sioux Ten Fingers of Louisiana; numerous half brothers and half sisters; 40 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Ten Fingers, and sons, Guy and Lloyd Wayne Ten Fingers.
Funeral Services: 2:00 PM, Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Wakpamni CAP Office in Pine Ridge, SD.

Narcis Levi “Tex” Ten Fingers “Iyokogna” passed away peacefully at home on September 22, 2012. He could not go on without the love of his life, Mamie whom he met in the fifth grade and later married and had a long loving relationship for 57 years. He was born on September 10, 1933 to Agnes Crazy Thunder and John Ten Fingers. He was drafted into the US Army from 1949 to 1951, he served in the Korean War and was honorably discharged.
