Philomena Lorna Iron Boy “Sinte Sapa Tahca Win” ~Black Tail Deer Woman~ 39, of Porcupine, S.D., passed away July 5, 2018, in Pine Ridge.
Philomena Lorna Iron Boy was born on December 4, 1978, in Pine Ridge, to Wyolin and Brenda (Jealous) Iron Boy. Philomena made her journey to the Spirit World on July 5, 2018, at the I.H.S. Hospital in Pine Ridge.
Philomena is survived by her siblings, Wyola New Holy, Weldon Spotted Eagle, Sr. and Lonnie Iron Boy; hunka daughter, Marlee Randall; hunka son, Jerome Apple; friend and her daughter, Jaimie Fast Wolf and Jasmine Fast Wolf; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and hunka sisters.
Philomena was preceded in death by her parents, Wyolin and Brenda Iron Boy; and brother, Wyolin Iron Boy, Jr.
A two night wake service started at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 10, at the Porcupine School Gym in Porcupine, with evening services at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 12, at the Porcupine School Gym in Porcupine, with Father Ed Hunt and Lay Minister Anthony Wounded Head officiating.
Burial services will be held at the St. Alban’s Episcopal Cemetery, Porcupine.
