Jody Ray DuBray, 40, of Allen, S.D., passed away September 2, 2018, in Milwaukee, Wis.
Jody Ray DuBray was born on March 8, 1978 in Sioux City, Iowa, to Beatrice DuBray-Siers. Jody began his journey to the Spirit World on September 2, 2018, in Milwaukee.
Jody is survived by his mother, Beatrice Siers; father, Enos Poor Bear, Jr., Martin; siblings, Juanita Siers, Jose DeLeon, Christian DeLeon and Jenna Siers, all of Sioux City, Iowa, Wayne Fire Thunder, Sherrie Has No Horse, Rochelle Yellow Boy, Roger Yellow Boy and Mary Lou Acosta, all of Allen; and aunt, Pauline DuBray-Flood, Allen.
Jody was preceded in death by his grandparents whom raised him, Gordon and Martha DuBray; grandparents, Cleveland DuBray, Beatrice (Blue Bird) DuBray, Sophie (Salway) Ruff and Enos Poor Bear, Sr.; and brothers Bobby Joe Siers and Marvin “Dickie” Poor Bear.
A two night wake service started at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, September 9, at the Allen Youth Center in Allen, and the second night started at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 10, at the Passcreek CAP Office in Allen.
Funeral services began at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 11, at the Passcreek CAP Office in Allen, with Pastor Tim Wardell officiating and Mr. Steve DuBray performing the traditional Lakota service.
Burial services were held at the DuBray Family Cemetery, 5.5 miles West of Allen.
