Leonard Ferguson, II, “Wawokiya Mani,” 55, of Kyle, S.D. passed away on February 11, 2019 at Kyle.
Leonard Ferguson, II, “Wawokiya Mani,” was born on August 9, 1963 in Rapid City to Evelyn Little Whiteman-Gregg and Leonard “Boob” Ferguson. Leonard made his journey to the Spirit World on February 11, 2019 at his home in No Flesh Creek, near Kyle.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Rochelle Pourier-Ferguson; children, Vanessa (Alan) Ferguson-Metcalf, Tony (Cherlyn) Ferguson, and Natasha (Raymon) Ferguson-Rosales; grandchildren, Alaunna, Dallas, Memphis, Janaiya, Jaileah, Deondre, Isabella, Alejandra, Amaris, Raymon, Jr., Kamaira, Lennon, Amya, Danica, Olivia, Demetrius, Kiara, Isabel, and Nathan; mother, Evelyn Gregg, hunka mother/auntie, Ethel Kills Straight; siblings, Terry Little Whiteman, Carmen “Debbie” Apple, Darrell “Sam” Apple, Mark Apple, Todd Gregg, Lyle Ferguson, Toni Ferguson, Arlen Ferguson, Willie Ferguson, and Breanna Ferguson; and mother and father-in-law, Judy and Delbert Pourier.
Leonard was preceded in death by his father, Leonard “Boob” Ferguson; hunka father/uncle, Birgil Kills Straight; maternal grandparents, Louie and Betty Little Whiteman; and paternal grandparents, John and Alice Ferguson.
A one night wake service will start at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 20 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle with evening services starting at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will start at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 21 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall.
Officiating will be Rev. Cordelia Red Owl and Mr. William “Bill” White.
Cremation to follow services.
