Elsie Madeline Harris, 88, of Kyle, S.D. passed away on March 9, 2019 at the Oglala Sioux Lakota Nursing Home, Rushville, Neb.
Elsie Madeline Harris was born on September 2, 1930 in Kyle to Jacob and Helen (O’Brien) Bull Bear. Elsie made her journey to the Spirit World on March 9 at the Oglala Sioux Lakota Nursing Home near Pine Ridge.
Elsie is survived by her sister, Iva (Bull Bear) Stover, Batesland; daughters, Cindy Faubion, Belle Fourche, and Linda Faubion, Allen; step-daughter, Deb (Faubion) Daugherty, Crookston; son, Clayton Faubion, Kyle; grandchildren, Chris Faubion, Kyle, Candida Johnson, Martin, Khaleah Johnson, Allen, Mercedes Faubion, Shikayla Faubion, and Skylar Faubion, all of Kyle, and Jacob Johnson, Martin; and great-grandchildren, Jamile Johnson, Martin, and Maxwell Faubion, and Ozzie B. Faubion, both of Kyle.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Helen Rose Bull Bear; her first husband, Bill Faubion, Sr.; her late husband, Harold W. Harris; sisters, Lily, Ada, Steilla, and Katie; sons, Billy Faubion, Jr., and Clarence Faubion; grandson, Brandon Johnson; niece, Wanda King; and nephew, Arlin Stover.
A one night wake service will start at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 18, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle with evening services starting at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will start at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 19, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall.
Officiating will be Father Ron Seminara, S.J. and Lay Reader Elizabeth May.
Burial Services will be held at the Faubion Family Cemetery, Kyle.
