Gloria Rose (Lakota) Cottier was born on March 12, 1944, in South Dakota, to Walter Lakota and Agnes (Between Lodges) Lakota. Gloria made her journey to the Spirit World on April 9, 2019, at the I.H.S. Hospital in Pine Ridge, S.D.
Gloria is survived by her children, Donald Cottier Jr., Pine Ridge, Tiffany Cottier, Rapid City, Roberta Twiss, Martin, Barb Twiss, Rapid City, Jonathan Twiss, Omaha, Neb., and Timothy Twiss, Denver, Colo.; siblings, Annie Red Elk and Jerome High Horse, both of Wanblee; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Agnes Lakota; husband, Donald Gilmore Cottier Sr.; son, Mike Lakota; sisters, Marie Walks and Alfreda Huapapi; and brothers, William Walks and Ivan Lakota.
Pallbearers will be James Means, Henry Twiss, Danny Lakota, Tony Herman Jr., Kobe Cottier, Taylor Red Elk, Todd Mesteth, Ben Comes Flying, Walter Hank Means, Corey Twiss, Jeremy High Horse and Frank Burgess.

Wake Services: One night wake service starting at 4:30 PM, Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the Crazy Horse School in Wanblee, SD with rosary services starting at 7:00 PM.
