Benjamin F. Skinner was born on January 28, 1929 in Gordon, Neb., to Quartes Skinner and Mary Charging. Benjamin, 90, of Pine Ridge, S.D., made his journey to the Spirit World on April 30, 2019, at the Regional Health Home Plus Hospice in Rapid City.
Benjamin is survived by his daughters, Terri Rattler, Leslie Skinner, and Kelli Skinner all of Rapid City; sister, Nellie Buckman of Pine Ridge; grandchildren, Joseph Blacksmith III of Denver, Colo., Diamond Rattler, Travis Rattler, Trenton Rattler, and Sara Skinner all of Rapid City; Joetta Skinner of Las Vegas, Nev., Ariel Skinner of Weatherford, Okla., Austin Skinner of Denver, Lydia Dowty of Rapid City, and Christopher Moses of Albuquerque, N.M.; great-grandchildren, Peyton Blacksmith, Trenton Rattler, Jr., Scarlett Rattler, Theron Rattler, Ezekiel Skinner, Emeri Skinner, Aliviah Skinner, Geliza Skinner, Emilio Servin, Ryleigh Dowty, and Luna Skinner; and close friend, Eric James Mesteth and Family of Pine Ridge.
Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents, Quartes Skinner and Mary Charging; sister, Lavonne Mousseaux; and brothers, Stanley Adams, Emery Charging, and Dennis Mousseaux.
Funeral Services: 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Hall in Pine Ridge, SD.
