Tamara Linda Starr, “Anpetu Luta Win” was born December 13, 1979, in Pine Ridge, S.D., to Katherine (Kindle) and Edward Starr. Tamara, 31, of Oglala, made her journey to the Spirit World on July 28, 2019, at the Pine Ridge I.H.S. Hospital in Pine Ridge.
Tamara is survived by her daughter, Paulina Brewer of Oglala, SD; step daughter, Echo Dodge of Oglala, SD; step-son, Jesse Dodge of Oglala, SD; godchildren, Casey Romero, Jr. and Austin Starr both of Oglala, SD; parents, Edward and Katherine Starr both of Oglala, SD; siblings, Pamela Starr, James (Veronica) Star Comes Out, Patrick (Ronnie) Starr; and Sheryl (Justin) Starr all of Oglala, SD.
Tamara was preceded in death by her sister, Kristan Starr.
Pallbearers will be Edd Starr, Delly Starr, Austin Starr, Sheldon Starr, Baron Star Comes Out, Ivan E. Starr, Cory Black Feather, Sr., Amos Two Bulls, Frank Starr, Jr., and Justin Mousseaux.

Wake Services: Two night wake services starting at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 3 & 4, 2019 at the Loneman School Gymnasium in Oglala, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM each night of the wake.
