Frank Wendell Helper IV was born March 28, 1970, in Rapid City, S.D., to Frank Helper III and Mary Belle Mexican. Frank, 49, of Rapid City, made his journey to the Spirit World on August 16, 2019 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City.
When he was young, Frank was a fun loving, adventurous person who loved the outdoors, camping and traveling. He enjoyed reading books, playing video games, spending time with family, attending Sundances and dancing at powwows. Frank was a big Broncos fan. He had a lot of friends and enjoyed spending time with them as well. Frank will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Frank is survived by his sisters, Bridgette Helper of Denver, CO, Nyla Swallow of Porcupine, SD, Donna Helper of Red Shirt, SD and Coretta Head of Montbello, CO; adopted brother, Terrance Good Road of Denver, CO; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Helper III and Mary Belle Mexican; grandparents, Charlie Mexican and Dorothy Afraid of Hawk; brothers, Monolito Julius Helper-Johnson and Andre Head; and sister, Leola Head.
Pallbearers will be Quentin Two Crow, Sr., Ulysses Two Crow, Sr. Dave Swallow III, Leo Swallow, Sr., Misun Iron Cloud, Lloyd Helper, Jered Jealous and Donny Marquez.
Honorary pallbearers will be Calvin White Butterfly, Terrance Good Road, Wayne Center, John Wilkinson, Jr., All Sundancers, Friends & Relatives.
Wake Services: One night wake service starting at 12:00 PM, Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the Medicine Wheel Sundance Grounds in Porcupine, SD
