Duane George Johnson Obit

Duane George Johnson was born January 18, 1963, in Pine Ridge, S.D., to James Johnson and Myrtle (Red Breath Bear) Johnson.  Duane, 56, of Cheyenne, Wyo., made his journey to the Spirit World on August 24, 2019, at the Cheyenne Health Care Center in Cheyenne.

Duane is survived by his children, Duane and Eric Johnson both of Cheyenne, WY, Christen Johnson of Denver, CO, Nicole, Charles, and Martika Johnson all of Sioux Falls, SD; 20 grandchildren; sisters, Blossom Jumping Eagle of Manderson and Selma Johnson of Porcupine, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Duane was preceded in death by his father, James K. Johnson; mother, Myrtle Red Breath Bear-Johnson; brother, James “Sonny” Johnson; and nephew, Jeffrey “Tuffy” Shangreaux.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Jumping Eagle, Sr., Sherman DeSersa, Olivia “Honey B” DeSersa, Orlando Two Bulls, Jacob Garnier, Gerald Weasel, Alex Looks Twice, Kevin Two Bulls, and Andrew Steele.

Angela Rose Sun Bear was born on October 6, 1975 in Pine Ridge, SD
to Marlon Sun Bear, Sr. and Inez Black Calf. Angela made her journey
to the Spirit World on August 25, 2019 at the Regional West Medical
Center in Scottsblu, NE.
Angela is survived by her children, Shandale, Tiany, Jonathan,
Alexandra, Isaac, and Isaiah; brothers, Mark Black Calf of Rapid City,
SD, Dale Sun Bear of Florence, CO, and John Black Calf of Gordon, NE;
and sister, Ernestine Sun Bear of Sioux Falls, SD.
Angela was preceded in death by her parents, Marlon Sun Bear, Sr. and
Inez Black Calf; daughter, Anastasia, and grandparents, Mark, Sr. and
Adeline Black Calf and Jessie and Rosa Sun Bear.
