Leonard Yellow Elk, 78, of Wanblee, S.D., passed away May 15, 2013, in Wanblee.
He was a United States Veteran.
Survivors include his daughters, Pearl Dull Knife, Evelyn Moves Camp, Joyce Doyle, Linda, Cora, Glenda, Sue, and Lenee Yellow Elk, all of Wanblee, and Renee Yellow Elk, Rosebud; son, Leonard Yellow Elk Jr., Wanblee; adopted son, Kevin McNaught, Wanblee; brother, Jerry Yellow Elk, Sioux Falls; 33 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Leonard was preceded in death by his wife, Marian Moves Camp-Yellow Elk, grandsons, Norman Domnick Janis, Erik Brian Janis, and his half-brother, Carlos Owen Yellow Elk.
