Christopher George Long Soldier Obit

Christopher George Long Soldier was born January 5, 1966, in Pine Ridge, S.D., to Silas F. Long Soldier Jr. and Leona Crazy Thunder. Christopher, 53, of Rapid City, made his journey to the Spirit World on September 4, 2019 in Rapid City, SD.

Christopher is survived by his sisters, Ella Long Soldier of Denver, CO, Bessie Long Soldier and Tilda St. Pierre, both of Kyle, SD; brothers, Lloyd Long Soldier of Crow Agency, MT and Harold Long Soldier of Sharp’s Corner, SD; nephews & nieces, Jesse Thunder Hawk of Wahiawa, Hawaii, Fernando and R.J. Long Soldier, both of Crow Agency, MT, Harold, and Lloyd Two Bulls, and Tamera and Travis Richards, all of Rapid City, SD, Tiffany and James Russell, and Amos Two Bulls, all of Walthill, NE and Jamal and Iona Long Soldier, both of Denver, CO.

Christopher was preceded in death by his mother, Leona Crazy Thunder; father, Silas F. Long Soldier, Jr.; daughter, Quanna Long Soldier; and infant son, Mark Long Soldier.

Pallbearers will be: Elgin Young Bear, Cleveland Weasel Bear, Jr., Jay Janis, Dave Red Owl, Richard Big Boy, Kelly McCurry, and John White Dress.

Wake Services: One night wake service starting at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD with prayer services starting at 7:00 PM.

Funeral Services: 10:00 AM, Friday, September 13, 2019 at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church Hall in Kyle, SD
