Wake service: 3 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2013, at the Billy Mills Hall, Pine Ridge.
Funeral services: 11 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Billy Mills Hall, Pine Ridge, with traditional Lakota services led by Mr. Milton Around Him.
Burial: Adventist Cemetery, Calico, Pine Ridge.
Survivors include sons, Nathan Tracke Sr., Pine Ridge, SD, Thomas Wolf Black, Ashland, Mont.; daughters, Valerie Tracke, Pine Ridge, and Deshea Tracke, Rapid City; adopted daughters, Biloria Pulliam and Zelda Pulliam, both of Pine Ridge; 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Solomen Slow Heart and Ida Lakota; his daughter, Tubbs Wolf Black; brothers, Kenneth Tracke, and Burgese Conquering Bear; and his sisters, Verna Tracke, Velma Slow Heart, and Ione Ventura.
