Myrna Marie Brafford was born January 20, 1963, in Rapid City, S.D., to Merle Brafford and Evelyn Twiss-Brewer. Myrna, 56, of Rockyford, made her journey to the Spirit World on November 3, 2019 at the Rapid City Regional Hospice of the Hills in Rapid City.
Myrna was a kindhearted, hard working woman who was well liked by most everyone she met. It didn’t matter where she was, in the Rapid City area or the Pine Ridge area, (just to name a couple), she had a great number of friends and family.
Myrna lived with her mother, Evelyn Twiss-Brewer and took care of her until her passing in 2005. She met the love of her life and best friend, Robin Wald in the spring of 2004. They lived together in Rapid City, SD until April of 2016 when they moved South of Rockyford, SD and made their home until her untimely passing.
Myrna worked many jobs. She had worked at Am Con Distribution Co., Econolodge, Wendy’s Restaurant, Foot Hills Inn and Time Inn. She was great at anything she put her mind to. Myrna will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Myrna is survived by her sons, Delano Brafford of Sioux Fall, SD and Sgt. Dakota Brafford Buxton of Fort Carson, CO; her significant other, Robin Wald of Rockyford, SD; sisters, Rose (Lyndon) LaRose of Rapid City, SD, Ellen LaRoche, Donalda and Connie Brafford, all of Rapid City, SD and Sharon Shaw; brother, Edwin Brewer of Sharp’s Corner, SD; Zeke the Cat and Thunder the German Sheppard; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, Merle Brafford and Evelyn Twiss-Brewer; siblings, John Brewer, Alden (Leon) Brewer, Carol Wright, Cecelia White, Donnie Cottier, Philip (Boy) and Cecil Brewer; and niece, Jennifer Rae Brewer.
Pallbearers will be Troy Wright, Ruby Comes Flying, Vicki Shoulders, Jerry Brewer, Robert “Lil Bob” Brewer, Sgt. Dakota Brafford Buxon, Donnie “Little Don” Cottier, Jess Grass, Julian Steele and Natasha Twiss.
Honorary Pallbearers will be All Friends & Relatives.
Wake Service: One night wake service starting at 5:00 PM, Friday, November 8, 2019 at Rockyford School Small Gym in Rockyford, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM.
