Goldie Mae Broken Nose was born April 28, 1932, in Pine Ridge, S.D., to Basil Broken Nose and Elizabeth (Hunts Enemy) Broken Nose. Goldie, 87, of Oglala, made her journey to the Spirit World on December 4, 2019.
Goldie is survived by her sons, Elton, Malcolm and Darnell Eagle Louse and Ken LaDeaux; daughters, Jocelyn Apple, Jerlene Arredondo and Genevieve Ribitsch; brothers, Nason Backs and Richard Broken Nose; grandchildren, Amaris Swallow, Paul Nava, James Bear Robe, Jr., Jamie, John and Williona Bear Robe, Chevya, Victoria, Monte, Tawny, Darwin, Latonia, and Sunday Eagle Louse, Beau Sits Poor, Darwina Matcham, Preston Apple, Frank Apple, Jr., Damian, David, Dane and Devin Arredondo, Tristine and Walter Cross Dog, Tesse Chase In Sight, Gentry Ribitsch, Riva Red Feather, Natasha Ballantine; numerous great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Goldie was preceded in death by her parents, Basil and Elizabeth Broken Nose; daughter, Rolanda Bear Robe; sons, Lenny, Darwin and Charleton Eagle Louse; sister, Eleanor Slow Bear; brothers, Ole and Tex Broken Nose and Russell Loud Hawk; 2 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
