Two night wake service: First night starting at 2 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2013, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Kyle, with the second night wake service being held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Cross residence, Kyle.
Funeral services: 12 p.m. noon, Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at the Cross residence, Kyle, with Father Rick Abert, S.J. officiating. Traditional services led by Mr. Dave Swallow, Mr. Leonard Crow Dog, and Mr. Rick Two Dogs.
Burial: Cross Family Cemetery, Kyle.
Survivors include children, Jerry Cross, Vernal T. Cross Jr., Margaret Cross, Calvin Cross, Tammy Cross, Dana Cross, Eric Cross, Michael Cross, Verna Cross, Michelle Martinez, Bear Lawrence Cross, and Cheryl Cross, all of Kyle, and Norma Cross-Camacho, Alliance, Neb.; sister, Lillian Red Star, Lincoln, Neb.; and adopted brother, Bruce Nowlin, Albuquerque, N.M.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Emil Norman Waters and Rosa Romero; spouse, Vernal Thomas Cross Sr.; son, Tyler Cross; brothers, Bobby Waters, Alexander Philip Waters, and Maurice Waters; and sisters, Shirley Blunt Horn, Eleanor Waters, and Nellie Two Bulls
