Daniel Dwayne Titus Jr. was born June 13, 1978, in Yankton, S.D., to Grace Joyce Red Bear-Fisherman and Daniel Titus Sr. Daniel was given his Lakota name, Mato Sa Owekaha, (The Bear That Makes Red Tracks) at this time. Daniel made his journey to the Spirit World on March 10, 2020, at the Monument Health I.C.U. in Rapid City.
Daniel was always a happy child, he was academically smart and into sports. He attended Wolf Creek Elementary his first few years of school after a few years he attended Pine Ridge Christian Academy where he played basketball, though a small school, yet he helped his team win many games. Later on, he attended Okola OTipi Virtual High School. Daniel was a bright and friendly guy, it was at these school where he met most of his life long friends. After high school, is when he had his three beautiful children, Betty J. Titus, Norman J. Titus, and Memphis R. Titus. Daniel was raised on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation where he helped raise his three children up until 10 years ago when he moved his family to Rapid City where he worked several years with the Allied Moving Company and other tough jobs.
Daniel was a very hard working man, he always put his family first, even through hardships he never lost faith, he always stayed positive, he believed strongly in the lord, those who knew him, will remember him as always smiling, joking around, and being a very caring and loving person to all people in general. Donny will be greatly missed and loved by many.
Daniel is survived by his three children, Betty, Norman, and Memphis Titus all of Rapid City, SD; mother, Grace J. Fisherman of Pine Ridge, SD; brothers, Franklin D. Jr. and Cecil R. Goings both of Pine Ridge, SD, Leonard C. Fisherman of Rapid City, SD, Eric W. Titus of Pine Ridge, SD, and Richard Red Bear of Manderson, SD; and sisters, Monica R. Titus, Carrie D. Titus, and Tonya L. Mousseaux all of Pine Ridge, SD, and Francis Titus of Rapid City, SD;
Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Titus, Sr.; step-father, Alvin Fisherman; sisters, Sioux Ann and Donna Rae Titus; brother, Don Wayne Titus, Jr.; grandparents, Stephen and Carrie Red Bear, Elizabeth and Julius Titus, Sr.; uncle, Don Titus, Sr.; and aunts, Martha and Hilda Red Bear.
Pallbearers will be Robert Titus, Terrence Fisherman, Mike Ten Fingers, Beau Titus, Emanuel Swick, Chris Swimmer, Bruce Roach, Dalton Kills Right, Frank Goings III, and Tyler Titus.

Wake Services: Two night wake service with the first night starting at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 16, 2020 at the Wakpamni CAP Office in Pine Ridge, SD and the second night starting at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at the Pine Ridge Gospel Fellowship Church in Pine Ridge, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM each night.
